Here is what some may say is a ‘nonsense poem’. I wanted a poem that subverted our casual use of our senses and perhaps urge the reader to experience the world anew. What had come out of ‘nonsense’ is a call to ‘full-sense’ in the world around us.
Have you seen the chill of the air On an October day? Or felt the orange that clothes the leaves As they fall where they may? Have you tasted the green of the grass Right where it lays? Or smelled the rustle of the trees As they twist and sway? Have you heard the light splashing from the sun’s rays? Tis a day to sense October in a new way.
What is your favorite part of fall?

It is interesting how you mis up the senses, tasting green grass and smelling the rustle of the trees. Seems unorthodox but it works. Great poem!
